IMPERISYS - THE SYSTEM

The IMPERISYS system is a collection of hardware and software for managing and controlling Electric Thermal Storage (ETS) systems.
Electric Thermal Storage is a method of storing energy by electrically heating a medium (ceramic bricks, water) that can be used later. Electric utilities use ETS systems to flatten their load curve or to use renewable electricity (wind, solar) efficiently.

DASHBOARD

The Imperisys dashboard is the user interface for the whole Imperisys system. Data flows to the Imperisys servers and is displayed and accessed through the dashboard. Individual installations are grouped into “Networks”. Each Network is associated with an address and a customer. Within the Network, the individual devices are displayed and controlled.

The dashboard provides:

Total power usage for the last 24 hours by Network or Device

List of devices on the Network

Estimate of storage available

Current temperature readings

Current power usage

Operating mode

Online status

Each device has a configuration section where the dashboard can send changes to the device’s configuration.
The dashboard also provides data exports by date for access to the raw measurement data.

DEVICES

With controllers for ETS devices (Ecombi's) and electric hot water tanks, IMPERISYS can manage your home's electric storage.

HOME CONTROLLER

The home controller provides a wireless gateway to the internet for the in home devices. The wireless network is a meshable low power IEEE 802.15.4 6LowPAN based network.

ECOMBI CONTROLLER (HUC)

The Ecombi controller gives an Ecombi storage heater connectivity and sensors for Imperisys control.

HOT WATER TANK CONTROLLER (HWC)

The Hot Water Tank controller retrofit adds temperature sensors and power tracking to an existing electric hot water tank. The install allows Imperisys to control and monitor the tank.
